What the site is

FormatWala provides free tools that lay out documents such as invoices, quotations, salary slips and receipts from details that you enter. The tools run in your browser. We do not store your documents.

Not professional advice

The tools and guides are general information. They are not tax, accounting or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for a chartered accountant or a lawyer. Tax rules, rates and thresholds change. Before relying on a document for a tax filing, a contract, a loan or any legal purpose, check that it meets the current rules for your situation.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for what you put in a document. We do not check names, GSTINs, amounts or any other detail you enter, and the calculations depend on them.
• Use the tools only for genuine documents. Do not create invoices, salary slips, rent receipts, experience letters or any other document that is false or misleading, for example to claim a tax benefit you are not entitled to, to obtain a loan, or to misrepresent your income or employment. Doing so may be a criminal offence, and the responsibility is entirely yours.
• Do not use the site in a way that harms it or other people: no attempts to break in, overload it, or copy the site wholesale.

What you may do with the documents

Documents you create here are yours. You may use them freely for your personal and business purposes, including commercially. No credit to FormatWala is required.

Our content

The site’s design, software, document layouts and written guides belong to FormatWala. You may link to any page. You may not republish the site or its guides as your own, or offer the tools as a competing service by copying them.

Advertising and links

The site shows advertising and may link to other websites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is”. We work to keep the tools accurate and available, but we do not promise that they are error-free, that they suit a particular purpose, or that the site will always be available.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, FormatWala and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or of any document made with it, including penalties, rejected claims, lost business or lost data. Your saved details live in your own browser; keep your own copies of any document that matters.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have jurisdiction over any dispute.
